Breaking Design Rules to Visualize the Freedom of Speech
Typography and Free Speech
The poster translates to: “Pruning someone's words is like chaining them and depriving them of their movement. So, I must learn to listen better, even if the chains are oh so beautiful.” I tried to translate the words to a visual design and I allowed myself to break all the design rules to remove visual limits.
For this poster, I chose to engage with the concept of communication and its constraints, as I tried to symbolize through the imagery of chains and the careful curation of words. The objective was to design a poster that not only stands out but also appears to animate through its very layout.
